Polka Dot Bathing Suit

This polka dot bathing suit is fabulous! It is so cute and quirky and will definitely make a retro statement. You could also wear this as a shorts set.

This vintage bathing suit is made of cotton materials. The materials are a solid grey material and a white material with red, blue and grey polka dots. The front of the top is the polka dotted material and the back side is the solid grey material. There are two ties in the middle of the front that allow you tie a bow there or tie around your neck. These two ties are the solid grey material. The bottoms/shorts are the solid grey material with two ruffles. The ruffles are the polka dotted material. There is elastic around the waist and around each leg/thigh. The top has elastic on the top and bottom sides. This bathing suit has no lining. It is tagged “ARLEEN Airess”. The tag is in the back of the bottoms/shorts (the top does not have a tag).

Condition: Good. There is a tiny frayed area on the front side of the bottoms. It is under the top ruffle to the right side of the seam, so you don’t notice it at all (the ruffle covers it). Also, it looks as though some of the elastic has been restitched (on the back side in the middle of the top).

This polka dot bathing suit is a Misses size. This set fits like an X-Small or a Small/2-4 in ladies.

Top:

Front Height = 4.5″, Back Height = 2.75″ (measured in the centers)

Top Ruffle = .65″ tall

Circumference = 27.5″ around (measured in the center around the top)

Ties = .2″ wide and 19.1″ long, each tie

Bottoms/Shorts:

Waist = 25.5″ around (measured at the elastic)

Leg Openings = 14″ around, each opening

Short Ruffles = 4.8″ tall, each

Front Height = 12″ from top center to crotch seam (not including the waist ruffle)

Back Height = 13″ from back center to crotch seam (not including the waist ruffle)

Waist Ruffle = 1″ tall

These measurements were taken with the top and bottoms/shorts laying flat and not being stretched.

Please note that the bottoms do not have a zipper, button or any other opening. They simply pull over your legs and thighs (there is some stretch but not too much).
