Clothes, Vintage Clothes, Smocked Dress, Vintage DressWe have some really pretty clothes for sale here! Some of these outfits are vintage and some of them are handmade.

We carefully select the vintage pieces and delicately wash them before we list them. Vintage clothing generally run a little smaller than today’s clothing. Please note that vintage clothing may have some imperfections/wear and tear as they have been previously loved. Any imperfections will be noted and priced accordingly.

Many pieces of our children’s smocked clothing were made by S’leeney’s. We hand smocked and sewed each of these pieces with great detail, love, and attention.

With proper care, these clothes can last for years.

Care for Clothes:

We recommend hand washing our clothes (the handmade and the vintage) in cold water with gentle soap and air drying them flat. This article has some great tips for stain removal.

To iron the smocked clothing, we recommend that you gently steam-iron over the smocked area without pressing down on it. Pressing down on the smocking will flatten it.

Of course, you can always have your vintage clothing dry cleaned if you prefer.

Our Smocking Process:

For a few details on how we make a smocked dress, you may go to: Our Smocking Process. The details are basically the same, no matter what we are making (a bishop dress, a romper, or an a-line dress). The time that we spend smocking and sewing may be a bit different, but the process is basically the same.
